Update on the Last few months in Photos

It's been a few months since my last post. I know I'm a bad blogger! Life has been crazy around our house lately. First my husband's real father passed away in July then at the end of August we lost our beloved Rocco. For all of you that don't personally know me; Rocco was our great dane and the first dog we have had together as a family. But now onto what I've been working on while all this craziness has been going on. Amber has gotten a few dresses over the past few months. This one I used the Picnic Dress pattern from Monkeys Bug They have a lot of great patterns and the instructions are easy to follow.
This one I used Moda's Vintage Modern collection. Then I made another one with an Amy Butler print.
This photo doesn't quite capture the dress very well, but she's still cute! I've also made a few pillow shams. The small one is my first dresden attempt.
Then I just got crazy with some scraps I had lying around. Bam's crayon collection has been out of hand lately. So I ended up making her a crayon roll out of some left over fabric and ribbon. I don't remember who's tutorial I used for this one, but if you just Google "crayon roll tutorial" you'll find tons. I'm thinking that my little nephews will be getting these for Christmas this year. Bring on the boy fabric!
I don't remember if I posted a picture of the cosmetic bag I made using The Fat Quarter Gangs tutorial. But here it is. I used 3 coordinating Art Gallery prints for this one and my ruffle is upside down on one side, but it gives it character!
A while back my business partner finally got a new laptop that she can't crash. (Thank you Apple for creating the mac book!) So I decided she needed a bag that is as stylish as she is. So I found this tutorial from Mother Huddle. I used two coordinating Ombre prints for this one along with some Kona solid. Plus I altered the pattern a bit by adding a small strap with some velcro for closure.
I am just finishing up a log cabin throw quilt this week. So pictures will be coming soon!
